Focus and Scope

Jurnal Akuntansi Kontemporer contains the original of research paper. It covers the results of research following topics: financial accounting, management accounting, accounting information systems, auditing, public sector accounting, corporate governance, taxation, and contemporary issues in business that affect accounting. Jurnal Akuntansi Kontemporer is published three times a year (January, May, and September) since 2022.

Peer Review Process

The manuscripts are all submitted by the author through Jurnal Akuntansi Kontemporer online system. The peer-review process as follows: (1) the editor conducts an initial review of all manuscripts within 5 working days. The purpose of the initial review to make sure the manuscripts cover the focus and scope of Jurnal Akuntansi Kontemporer. And also to make sure there is no possibility of misconduct including authorship, ownership, and plagiarism. The author has 10 working days to fulfill the initial review’s results. (2) If the submitted manuscripts fulfill the first step, the submitted manuscript will be sent to two reviewers who do not have the potential conflict of interest. The peer-review process is double-blinded. The review process takes 15 working days for each reviewer. (3) The reviewers return the recommendation to the Jurnal Akuntansi Kontemporer editors. The recommendation provides the deliberation of the submitted manuscripts and also constructive comments which are minor or major revisions. (4) The editors will send the reviewers’ recommendation to the author. The author has a maximum of 5 working days for minor revision to improve his/her manuscripts. If the revision is major, the author may take longer (maximum 15 working days) to improve the manuscripts. (5) The revision manuscripts from the author are sent back to the previous reviewer. (6) The final decision is lie on the Editorial Board. This process may take 2 months until the online publications.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles in Jurnal Akuntansi Kontemporer (JAKO) published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License
